What is water baptism?

  • Baptism does not “wash away sins.”

The Bible says here that baptism “ is not the removal of filth from the body ” (1 Peter 3:21).

• • Furthermore, the Bible teaches us that the only thing that cleanses sins is the shedding of blood, and nothing else. “22 And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.” Hebrews 9:22

• It is the materialization of our commitment to God.
