    What is the Importance of Repentance?

    • The first message Jesus preached was about repentance:

    « Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. » (Matthew 4:17, ASV)

    • Repentance allows us to turn away from destruction and turn toward the Kingdom of God.
    • A person’s life without Jesus inevitably leads to hell. But repentance enables us to turn away from the things of this world and turn to God. This change of direction delivers us from eternal death.
